Hidden Circle Farm is a dream come true for our family. David and I wanted so much to have property of our own where we could become semi self sufficient. Our story started when we decided to buy a boer goat for a companion pet. She was to keep "Peek-a-Boo "one of our horses company. I had never owned a goat before but soon found out the many joys of having one around. She was lovable, smart, and a joy to watch.
We decided we should purchase another goat. So we researched and purchased a Nigerian Dwarf goat we named Rocky Road Fudge "Rocky". Our love for these kind hearted creatures grew even more. His playful antics and pleasing disposition won us over. After a few weeks we knew what we wanted to do. We bought another Nigerian and started our herd which is double registered "American Dairy Goat Assoc. and American Goat Society".
It is our goal to be able to milk and make cheese from our goats while enjoying them as pets. Breeding excellent bloodlines, conformation, and high dairy qualities with our Nigerian's is important to us. We maintain a clean herd. They are CAE, CL, Johnes, and Brucellosis free!
If you are considering buying a Nigerian Dwarf you should research what you can. There is tons of useful information on the internet. A little info we can offer is Nigerian's grow to be about 18-23inches tall weighing about maximum 75lbs. They produce quite a bit of milk which tends to be a little sweet and high in butterfat. Nigerians are very sweet natured goats and make good pets especially for the small farmer. Nigerians are known for having 3 or more kids at a time and breeding all year long.
